RULES :
• Every player must wear ice skates, helmets are optional but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED,
goalie sticks and goalie equipments are forbidden

• Slap shots, high sticking, holding and tripping will be considered minor penalties.
After a minor penalty, the opposing team takes control of the puck. After three minor penalties as well as every penalty prior to the third, a goal and the possession of the puck will be allowed to the other team;
• Any player who commits a major penalty or an attempt to hurt another player will be disqualified immediately, with no possibility of being replaced;
• Any form of blasphemy or insult addressed at a referee will be considered a major penalty;
• No checking is allowed. Anything close to a body check will be considered a minor or major penalty depending on the seriousness of the body check;
• A player diving in front of the net to block a shot with his body or by extending his stick will be considered as a minor penalty;
• The puck cannot leave the ice's surface, unless a pass above an opponent’s stick is intended. A minor penalty will be given for any deliberate or dangerous puck raise attempt;
• Goals can only be scored from the offensive zone

• No offsides;
• If the puck is deflected or tossed off the ice, players do not have to retrieve it. The referee will hand over another puck to the opposite team. Play starts closest to where the puck left the surface. A distance of two (2) hockey sticks must be given to the team starting the play. The opposing team can engage in the game once a pass has been made. The player starting the play has 5 seconds to make a pass before the opponent can play the puck;
• With the exception of the starting face off, anytime the play stops, a distance of two (2) hockey sticks must be given to the team starting the play. • After a goal, the team that has been scored on gets possession of the puck. The opposing team must leave a distance of two (2) hockey sticks before the play starts. The play starts as soon as a pass has been made;
• In case of a tie game, the winner will be determined by a precision shot. One player from each team places himself at center ice, shoots the puck toward the net to get it as close as possible without reaching the net;
• Event organisers have the right to expel any player or team causing trouble, preventing the tournament from its proper functioning or causing security concerns to other participants;
• The organisation's committee are allowed to change tournament rules at any time to assure its quality. In such case, every team will be informed;
• Those who enter the tournament must sign a form stating that they agree to these terms and conditions. Every participant has to consider that the Tournoi de Hockey Lac-Beauport occurs on the natural surface of the lake which can cause IMPORTANT CRACKS implying HIGH RISKS OF ACCIDENTS, and that the organisation HIGHLY RECOMMENDS WEARING PROPER HOCKEY GEAR. Consequently, the signatory accepts to play in the Championnat québécois de Pond Hockey at his own risks, therefore releasing Corporation Tournoi de hockey Lac-Beauport, its administrators, directors and members, Molson Canada, Mercure Inc. and the city of Lac-Beauport from the responsibility of any harm, injury or damage occurring during the Tournoi de hockey Lac-Beauport, renouncing to any lawsuit or reclamation for these matters.
